Hand Finished Gallery:
Watercolors
Here you'll find a collection of my more traditionally finished pieces. This means they've been created using  water color. This technique was introduced to me in highschool, I always hated the 'cake' style watercolors. John-Boy handed me the tube/liquid watercolors and I haven't stopped experimenting yet! The pieces are organized by completion with the most recent at the top.
"Return to Homestead" Really, this isn't a new piece, but I'm in the process of reframing it--scan oportunity!!! I did this piece back in November of 1996, before I had a computer, and framed it soon after. ARGH! Hard to scan framed pictures. This was a good time to pull out an old favorite and share Nightbird in all her infamous glory.

"All Wrapped Up" Anubis has an apprentice. A tiny terror of one who seems to enjoy getting into messes...little fennecs fit into many tight spaces...which means they find many a thing they shouldn't. Extra mummification supplies being one such example!

"Heaven Sent" An ivy wreath has no beginning and no end...that's how true love is. Nathan and Jennie will be joined in the bonds of marriage in November.

"Tranquility" was a watercolor piece that I modeled after a photo my brother took of a clouded leopard at the zoo. It was such a gorgeous shot that I just had to make a portrait of it.

"Silent Courage" came about shortly after I painted the leopard. It uses the same methods with a slightly different mood in mind.
